33 Weeks ... Movie Night and Ice Cream!

Belly Measuring at Full Term (40 weeks)

Leslie's belly is now measuring at what it would be (on average) for a mother having a single baby. We still hope we have at least four more weeks,

31 Week Ultrasound

It's getting crowded in there. It's getting difficult to get good ultrasound images, but we'll take what we can get. They are both doing very well, with Baby A catching up to Baby B in size. There is now less size discrepancy between the two. A is about 3.5lbs and B is about 4lbs, both well within normal ranges. They are both head down with B little higher up than A. Both babies feet are together and we saw a good show of them kicking each other's feet. We're at weekly doctor appointments from here on out and should have one more ultrasound at the end of the month. Leslie is doing great, though it's hard to imagine these guys being between five and six pounds by the end of the month. Ideally we'd like for them to stay put for about five more weeks.

Baby B gave us a decent shot. His nose is the somewhat brighter area in the center.

Third Trimester

Well yesterday, the 4th of July, marked the first day of the third trimester. We had our monthly ultrasound this morning and everything is progressing perfectly. As suspected from the ultrasound last month, Kid A takes after mom and is a little smaller than Kid B. But both are growing normally and are well within the normal ranges. We have a few pictures. The bigger they get, the harder it is to get good angles for the pictures, but there are a few good ones. Kid B (or OK Computer as I've been calling him) is a little more camera shy than Kid A. Leslie is doing fantastic and we're told the risk for pre-term birth is very low right now. We'll be seeing doctors almost weekly from here on out regardless.
